A piece for Light Grey Art Lab's Bower Bird - a postcard exhibition celebrating the art of collecting, curating, and personal artifacts.
I own a lot of books - hundreds, in fact - but the books I’ve always cherished most are those I read as a child. Those books are the essence of my collection, and the many animals they feature sparked my lifelong love of reading. This piece is an ode to the literary creatures of my childhood, who continue to keep me turning the page.
